This Michelin one-star Hong Kong-style restaurant is known for its delicious Hong Kong-style turnip cake and impressive stuffed tofu skin rolls. Although takeout affects the texture, the rich flavors leave a lasting impression.
The restaurant has limited seating and often requires a wait, so it is recommended to choose takeout to enjoy.
Location: Central, Hong Kong
A well-known Michelin one-star Cantonese restaurant in Hong Kong,
DimDimSum.
Actually, they have another branch that seems more authentic.
This location is more of a takeout spot,
but there are also plenty of people queuing for dine-in.
However, the seating inside is quite limited,
so seeing the long line, we resolutely decided to get takeout and eat on the stairs outside.🤣🤣
It was quite challenging, so the photos didn’t turn out very beautifully,
but it doesn’t detract from its deliciousness.
🌟 Cantonese Turnip Cake
There’s a generous amount of seasoning in the Cantonese turnip cake.
Since we were eating it as takeout beside the restaurant,
the outer layer wasn’t very crispy
and was a bit soft,
but overall, the flavors were very aromatic and strong.
It was really delicious! 😋
🌟 Bean Curd Skin Roll
Personally, I don’t often order bean curd skin rolls in Taiwan,
but my family loves them,
so I often eat along with them.
But this place’s bean curd skin roll really amazed me.
It was very tasty, and the seasoning was incredible.
Although you can feel it’s pretty oily,
it's definitely delicious with great layers of flavor.
As for the other dishes, for me, since there are so many Cantonese restaurants in Taiwan,
the quality isn't usually too bad,
so nothing was particularly astonishing.
But if I come to Hong Kong again,
this restaurant will be one I want to revisit.
