Today is a weekday lunch visit, with seating arranged by staff. After being seated, you select your desired meat grade (Angus Beef/Super Premium Wagyu/Ultimate Grade Wagyu) based on the time period, with prices depending on the meat grade ($698/$798/$898). Today marks my first time dining at Mala, and I was amazed by the variety in the self-service area, which has over 40 types of vegetables, mushrooms, starches, and soy products in the refrigerated section. (I love vegetables 🤩) Can’t wait for the meat to be cooked? The self-service area also has ready-to-eat plain rice and Angus beef curry (the sauce is quite rich) and duck blood tofu. Before the meat arrived, I had already eaten two bowls.
There are many drink options, including various hot and cold beverages from machines, but I highly recommend the freshly squeezed mixed juice, along with Heineken beer 🤩. The dessert section has an entire freezer filled with desserts; I tried some, and the flavors were a bit ordinary. The ice cream brands available are Mövenpick and Häagen-Dazs, with a wide variety of flavors.
For the highlight, the meats, depending on the pricing plan you choose, offer different selections. Overall, the beef performed well, while the pork was average and not outstanding. The seafood was a nice complement for changing flavors. The dining time is two hours. The people I dined with were young, so we ate solidly for 120 minutes without stopping, which didn't include the several plates of meat we had; I estimate we went through over 30 plates… The delivery robots came multiple times (the cats were adorable). We entered at 11 AM and ate until 1 PM, and even after getting home by 8 PM, I was still full... It’s just that I’m not so young anymore; eating like this is indeed quite tough 🤣, love it but also afraid of it.
