I've passed by this charcoal-grilled corn stall hundreds of times, but this is the first time I've bought from it. An auntie runs this small stall; there's an alley behind it and a road in front.

This time when I rode past, I noticed the sign said grilled corn for 50 NT dollars. How generous! 🥹 The auntie told me that they had prices of 50, 60, and 80 NT dollars. She took out a few ears from a Styrofoam box for me to compare sizes, and I chose the 60 NT dollar one. It was just the right amount to satisfy my cravings, and thankfully, I didn't encounter any corn thieves. 🥷🏻

Although the corn didn't look very plump and pretty, it wasn't flawed either; the variety should be three-color glutinous corn. When I bought it, the auntie had no other customers, and it seemed like the charcoal fire was not very active, so I was worried it might not taste good.

However, as the auntie brushed on the sauce and grilled it, the aroma intensified. I waited about 5-8 minutes to get my corn. It had a strong charcoal flavor, and the sweet and salty sauce was really tasty.

But the texture of the corn wasn't glutinous; it felt more like boiled corn. I hope the auntie can add a phone number later so that everyone can make reservations in advance!
