Due to various geographical factors, Zhonghe Huaxin Street has naturally formed a gathering place for Southeast Asian ethnic groups over time, and New Taipei City is officially named after Nanyang Tourist Food Street.
But the most important ethnic group is the Burmese.
Koufu Nanyang Flavor is located in the front section of Huaxin Street. It mainly provides Yunnan and Myanmar specialties.
What I enjoyed today was thin bean flour Babasi, cold preserved egg and lemon coffee, totaling 210 yuan.
Thin bean flour Babasi:
Originally, I wanted to order baked rice cakes made with dilute soybean flour, but the ingredients for the baked rice cakes were still being made and we had to wait for an hour, so I had Baba silk instead.
Babasi is a special noodle dish made of rice, such as thinner rice noodles or vermicelli, and is called baba in Yunnan and Myanmar.
It tastes chewy, and combined with the thin soybean flour made from peas, it has a smooth texture and a rich bean aroma. It tastes interesting.
Cold preserved eggs:
The fishy smell of preserved eggs is unacceptable to many people, but for those who love preserved eggs, this flavor is a very important feature.
Cold preserved eggs use various spices to retain the original flavor of preserved eggs, and further enhance the unique aroma after fermentation, which is very delicious.
Lemon coffee:
A decent cup, lemon and coffee go well together.
The yogurt is sold out, otherwise it would be the one I originally wanted to order.
I have actually visited this store three times. During the previous visits, the Yunnan slices and grilled fish were also impressive.
Overall, like the name of the restaurant, it is a restaurant with quite a Nanyang flavor. After eating, it is also highly recommended to visit the nearby Burmese shops.
It’s a pity that I didn’t get the yogurt. I’ll come back next time!
