The beef soup has a fresh and sweet broth, the beef is cooked just right, and the braised beef is full of flavor. The beef offal soup has no fishy taste and is even more delicious when paired with peanut chili sauce. The prices are affordable, the portion sizes are generous, making it highly recommended.
The seating inside the store is limited and turns over quickly; there is no air conditioning, and some seats are by the roadside, making it hotter in the summer. It's recommended to arrive early to avoid the crowds.
The restaurant's service is attentive, often asking if we need extra soup, making people feel the warmth of service on a chilly day.
🎉Recommended Affordable Eats in Beigang🎉
🎉A Delicious Heritage Passed Down for Three Generations🎉
This recommended eatery is located near the religious site of Beigang Chaotian Temple. Among the myriad of delicious foods nearby, this specialty beef soup shop stands out with its very reasonable prices, attracting both locals and tourists alike 🙌🏻. Not only does it offer heavenly prices on the menu, but each bowl of beef soup for just 60 NT dollars also comes with free refills of soup 😳, and the serving of meat is quite generous too 👏.
Beef Soup:
The broth is fresh and sweet, complemented by some ginger strips, and the beef is cooked just right 👍. This bowl for only 60 NT dollars is truly recommended 🫡.
Braised Beef:
The braised beef is rich in flavor and not overly salty; some pieces have connective tissue that makes them very tender and chewy. Paired with white rice, it’s a perfect dish to enjoy with rice 😚. Plus, the rice is drizzled with braised meat sauce 👏.
Beef Offal Soup:
The beef offal is well-prepared, with no peculiar fishy taste. It shares the same broth as the beef soup, and dipping it in Beigang’s peanut chili sauce enhances the flavor beautifully 😊.
To summarize:
The shop doesn’t have an eye-catching sign, making it easy to miss while passing by 😆, but as long as you pause and observe the crowd, you’ll spot it‼️ There aren’t many seats inside, but the turnover is quick, so you won’t have to wait long 😏. However, the shop doesn’t have air conditioning, and some seats are by the roadside, which can be quite hot during the summer 🫠. It’s advisable to arrive a bit earlier since the shop opens at 8:30 AM 😋 and remains open without breaks in the afternoon, allowing you to avoid peak crowds if you come during off-peak times 😍.

When you come to Beigang, it's not just the old street in front of the temple that you can explore. The area behind the temple also has hidden gems. The radiant beef is located at the triangular corner of Bo’ai Road and Datong Road, right behind the temple.
Established in 1960, this place specializes in beef. This time, I ordered the beef soup and a mixed platter.
⭐️ Beef Soup (60 TWD)
A bowl of soup with so much meat costs only 60 TWD! The hand-cut beef is thick and tender, not chewy at all. The soup is clear but rich and has a sweet aftertaste. The owner adds rice wine, green onions, and ginger to it, so let them know in advance if you don't want those! Additionally, the restaurant is generous with the soup; the staff will randomly check if you want a refill. Drinking sweet, hot soup on a cool day is truly a delight😋.
⭐️ Mixed Platter (60 TWD)
It includes most types of offal. It comes drizzled with some braised sauce, and if the flavor isn't strong enough for you, there are soy sauce and chili sauce available on the side. The mixed platter is fresh and crunchy, with no strong fishy smell. The portion is just right for one person~~
In summary, if you visit Beigang, you must give this place a try!
