When you come to Beigang, it's not just the old street in front of the temple that you can explore. The area behind the temple also has hidden gems. The radiant beef is located at the triangular corner of Bo’ai Road and Datong Road, right behind the temple.
Established in 1960, this place specializes in beef. This time, I ordered the beef soup and a mixed platter.
⭐️ Beef Soup (60 TWD)
A bowl of soup with so much meat costs only 60 TWD! The hand-cut beef is thick and tender, not chewy at all. The soup is clear but rich and has a sweet aftertaste. The owner adds rice wine, green onions, and ginger to it, so let them know in advance if you don't want those! Additionally, the restaurant is generous with the soup; the staff will randomly check if you want a refill. Drinking sweet, hot soup on a cool day is truly a delight😋.
⭐️ Mixed Platter (60 TWD)
It includes most types of offal. It comes drizzled with some braised sauce, and if the flavor isn't strong enough for you, there are soy sauce and chili sauce available on the side. The mixed platter is fresh and crunchy, with no strong fishy smell. The portion is just right for one person~~
In summary, if you visit Beigang, you must give this place a try!
