Parking nearby is not easy, but I'm willing to make a special trip for the food! The restaurant is very spacious, with a bright and roomy environment. There's a lot of foot traffic, but due to the many seats, the queue doesn't take too long.
This steak place offers great value for money, with a buffet bar that includes curry rice, thick milk tea, and other drinks, toast, popcorn, corn chowder, and more. The curry rice is rich and flavorful; the rice is a bit on the hard side, but it’s just right when drizzled with sauce. The milk tea is tasty and has no off-flavors. The stir-fried noodles are the type that has white noodles drizzled with sauce, not stir-fried. Extra noodles can be added, which is great for big eaters. The fish fillet is decent, and for 190 yuan, you can eat well and be satisfied. When you're unsure whether to have curry or a steak meal, this is the place to go.
Thank you, Fooday 🥳, for making me want to try more different foods 🍽

🪑 About the overall atmosphere 🎡
It's not easy to find parking nearby. The restaurant has a lot of seats, but during meal times, it can still get crowded. Fortunately, there's a designated waiting area with air conditioning. The self-service area features a coffee machine, ice cream machine, toast maker, popcorn, cookies, curry rice, corn chowder, and drinks—all-you-can-eat.
💰 About the pricing 💰
The Steak from Xiao Shi Hou costs $220, with a preset mushroom sauce; black pepper is available for self-service. Ordering is done via a QR code on the table, and you need to checkout at the self-service machine before the meal is served.
🍴 About the meals ☕
It's essentially a high-end version of the night market steak, featuring that familiar scene of cracking an egg on a hot plate, adding some oil noodles (spiral noodles can also be chosen), and placing a slice of steak on top. Noodles can be replenished for free if you want more. The noodles are not stir-fried, so you need to mix them with the sauce to get the flavor; the meat has some sinew, but it's not unchewable. There are options for medium and well-done; I chose medium, which had a bit of redness on one side, but searing it on the hot plate got rid of that. The meat is tender, not dry, and doesn’t taste like processed meat, which I think is reasonable for this price. The curry rice is great, but this time the rice seemed a bit too dry, not as good as my last visit. The Xiao Shi Hou milk tea is considered a signature drink, though it's a bit sweet; the popcorn is good, a sweet-and-salty mix that isn’t overwhelming; the toast options include butter and chocolate, and I think it tastes better when toasted twice. The ice cream this time is vanilla-flavored; it seems they change flavors regularly; it's not too sweet either.
🤨 Conclusion ♥
You can enjoy an all-you-can-eat steak for around $200. Each time I go during meal hours, it’s often packed with people, and there are only two restrooms, so there's usually a wait outside. However, for this price, there's really not much to complain about; sometimes I feel like I just want to eat curry rice along with the steak (did I get the order wrong?). After lunch, I'm still full in the evening, which really is quite a deal.
