定光 韓食輕飲

4.5
1 review
Korean | NT$200

AI Spot Summary

The flavors of the dishes are average, but because the prices are very affordable and the portions are large, the cost-performance ratio is high. The seafood pancakes have a generous portion, and the army stew and stone pot bibimbap also provide a satisfying amount.

The store's space is not large, and there are often long queues, making the atmosphere inside seem somewhat busy and crowded.

The serving speed is fast, but when the restaurant is full, the staff may ask customers if they need takeout, making it impossible to dine leisurely.

I often see long queues at this restaurant. Because it's very cheap, I decided to try eating there myself.

We came for a meal and ordered budae jjigae (army stew), dolsot bibimbap (stone pot mixed rice), and seafood pancakes, along with bubble red tea and milk green tea.

After arriving at the restaurant, we had to go in first to get the menu and then queue up. Once we completed our order, we handed the menu to the staff. We waited for about 15 minutes. The seating inside is not very spacious. I couldn't take pictures of the restaurant's exterior that day because it was packed with people, making it difficult to avoid capturing passersby. Moreover, the camera didn't do a good job at capturing it.

After we ordered and sat down, the food came quite quickly, in about ten minutes. I had originally wanted to order stir-fried rice cakes, but I'm glad I didn't. This place focuses on offering affordable and large portions, which provides great value for money. The drinks have a Taiwanese style, but the meals are still quite Korean. If you don’t want to queue, you can order takeout.

With the two of us, we ordered these dishes and there was almost no space left on the table; it filled the entire surface. Essentially, one serving of budae jjigae is enough for one person’s meal. The pancakes come in both kimchi and seafood flavors. We chose seafood this time, and the portion was so large that we could easily get full without needing to order main dishes. By the end of our meal, we truly felt stuffed and could barely walk. 🥹

The taste of the food was average, but due to the very affordable prices, I gave it a good review. I deducted half a star because when it's crowded, and there are many people waiting outside, the dine-in customers keep chatting, and the staff comes over to ask if you want to take your meal to go, which doesn’t allow for a relaxed dining experience.

Suggestions:
One person should order one portion. If you want to try other dishes (like rice cakes and pancakes), either don’t order a main dish or have three or four people share one portion. Otherwise, you'll definitely need a takeout container. By the end of our meal, it seemed like every table had leftovers to take away. 🤣
