The chocolate soufflé toast at this restaurant is very popular, reasonably priced, with a soft texture, and the chocolate flavor is not overly sweet. The salted croissant and steamed pudding also receive good reviews, especially the pudding which is particularly soft and tender. Small desserts like financiers perform just moderately.

The first time I had something from this place was the chocolate shokupan (Japanese-style fluffy bread), which a friend gifted me. My impression was that it was really delicious, and it left a lasting memory. The last time I came, the bread was already sold out, so this time I came a bit earlier. There are fewer people on weekdays, but there are still groups of tourists. The bread has specific baking times, so it's a bit of luck whether you'll get it fresh. Here are the items I bought this time:
▪️Chocolate Shokupan $180
A whole loaf at this price feels very reasonable! The chocolate isn’t too sweet but not bitter either. The amount of spread is just right, and whether you eat it fresh or heat it up after freezing, it’s delicious! The bread is soft and fluffy. It's definitely something I would want to buy again 🥹
▪️Salted Croissant $90/2 pieces
I’ve recently been really fond of salted croissants. I tried this one, and it has a nice aroma. It doesn’t get too oily after heating, and the sea salt on top adds the perfect touch. Not bad at all.
▪️Steamed Pudding $70
So delicious!! I originally thought steamed pudding would be denser, but it turned out very soft and tender. The caramel is liquid and not bitter, and it’s just sweet enough without being overly cloying. I didn’t bring an insulated bag, otherwise, I would have wanted to buy a few more 🥹 100% would repurchase!
▪️Hazelnut Financier $55
▪️Chocolate Orange Financier $60
There are many small pastries like wedding cakes; I chose two that I was interested in. I think they are pretty standard—nothing particularly surprising.
▪️Tea Service (High Mountain Oolong Tea/Black Coffee)
I discovered they offer tea at the entrance, and since I was sitting down for a bit, I went to get a cup. The oolong tea smells great, and the serving size isn’t small—perfect for summer.
Overall, I really like this place! The toast and pudding are must-buys. The small sweets depend on personal taste; I heard the palmiers are also delicious, but I didn’t buy them because one box was too much. I’ll try them next time if I find a smaller mixed box. I recommend arriving earlier so that you won’t miss out on many items being sold out. (They have their own parking lot nearby, which can offset your expenses.)
