The pig's trotter and cold noodles are sufficiently portioned. The skin of the trotters is chewy while the meat is tender. The sesame sauce for the cold noodles is not too thick, and the noodles have a nice bounce to them. There is plenty of tofu in the miso soup, and the overall flavor is good.
The restaurant is located near the Xingtian Temple MRT station. The shop has a homey atmosphere and is bustling with business on weekday evenings.
The service from the staff is quick, and the food is served within 5 minutes after ordering, which is very efficient.
Foodholic Nakoko @ Taipei
"Golden Fragrant Pig's Trotters and Cold Noodles" is located near the Xingtian Temple Station, about a 2-minute walk from Exit 3. It’s quite a well-known place, and the shop itself isn't particularly fancy; it has a very homely look.
I arrived around 7 PM on a weekday, and the place was packed with guests. There were also many people waiting outside for takeout, indicating good business. However, the staff were quite efficient; I remember we received our orders within 5 minutes after ordering.
Cold Noodles (Large) $65
The portion is really large. Since we also ordered the pig's trotter, each of us had a large bowl of cold noodles. As a girl with an average appetite, I could probably only finish about 2/3 of it. If you can handle spice, I recommend asking the staff for a mild spiciness. The chili oil can be drizzled directly on the noodles or packed separately. The sesame sauce is packaged separately, and while it’s not extremely thick, I think it’s just right, making it easy to eat without feeling too heavy. The noodles are quite chewy and not overly soft, which I was very satisfied with.
Pig's Trotters (Small) $190
Honestly, this price isn’t cheap, but I think the portion is quite generous. The skin of the trotter is very chewy, and even the lean meat is tender. My family members, who usually don’t eat pig trotters, found it delightful. If you’re dining with a group, I recommend ordering one to enjoy with the cold noodles.
Miso Soup $30
This bowl of soup is really affordable. Although it’s just tofu miso soup, it’s served in a large portion with plenty of tofu. Unfortunately, it got a bit cold by the time I took it home, but if you have it hot, it would definitely be very comforting alongside the cold noodles.
This is a pig's trotters restaurant that was delayed by cold noodles. "Jinxiang Pig's trotters cold noodles" is not far from the Xingtian Temple MRT station. There are many people during lunch time on weekdays. I ordered the kimchi flavor for the cold noodles. I recommend it. Eat a bowl of braised pork rice, it's very cheap, and the leg meat is stewed very softly. The lean meat is super tasty, the fat meat is not greasy, and the salty and sweet balance is just right. You definitely can't miss it.
