Hainanese Chicken Rice is located in 228 Park and near Taipei Main Station. The exterior and interior design of the store are in yellow, which echoes the color of Hainanese chicken skin, turmeric rice and noodles, giving people a very dynamic feeling in Southeast Asia.
I came here for lunch with my colleagues on weekdays. It was only around 12 noon. The store was already full, and many people were waiting for takeout. There were enough seats in the store, and due to the nature of the meal, it didn’t take too long to eat, and the table turnover rate was high. Considered high
(There is an orange cat in the store, which should be the store cat. It will walk around or sleep directly on the seat. It is very cute!)
My colleague ordered Bak Kut Teh for $100 and Indonesian Lo Mein for $50.
I saw my colleagues munching the spareribs in Bak Kut Teh with relish. It must be good, but I didn’t eat it, so I won’t comment too much.
I ordered Hainan Chicken Leg Noodles for $170
I was a little bit dumbfounded when it was served. Because the portion was quite small, I felt like I wouldn't be full. In fact, I wasn't really full either. I was only about 6.7 points full.
The chicken skin of Hainan chicken is yellowish, the chicken leg meat is very tender, and the chicken skin is very delicious. It comes with three dipping sauces that can be eaten with it, namely dark soy sauce and light green onion and ginger sauce. ,chili sauce
The noodles are the same as my colleagues’ Indonesian noodles. It’s similar to prince noodles or instant noodles. It’s seasoned enough and slightly spicy, which is not bad.
Overall, the food tastes OK, but at $170 for such a portion, I think it’s really too expensive, and the food isn’t so delicious that I’ll miss it, so I probably won’t visit again next time unless I don’t know where to go. Think about what you eat
