The seafood curry portion looks small, but it's actually quite sufficient. The curry sauce has a lemon flavor and is mildly spicy, but it might be a bit too spicy for those who don't eat spicy food. The rice grains are distinct, and the fried oysters have a nice texture.
The space inside the restaurant is not big but not crowded, with plenty of decorations but not overwhelming, creating a comfortable dining environment.
The boss is kind and polite, and although busy, provides attentive service that makes people feel warm.
"I ran around several stores but wanted to eat curry and didn't know what to do (:3」∠ )" - Me, who went out with friends that day but couldn't find an open store.
<About the meal 🥣>
I ordered the seafood curry. When the curry was served, it looked like there wasn't much, but when I actually ate it, it felt like there was more than I expected.
The owner specifically indicated that the curry sauce is mildly spicy, but personally, I couldn't taste the spice. A friend who doesn’t eat spicy food mentioned that he thought the curry sauce was spicy, so those who can't handle spice should ask the owner to omit it.
The curry sauce has a unique lemon flavor; it seems to have lemon juice added to enhance the taste. It was my first time trying this type of curry, and I found it a bit novel.
The rice grains are well-separated, which gives a texture that I personally really like. As for the seafood, I highly recommend the fried oysters; the texture was quite good.
<About the staff 👨🍳>
The owner is very nice and quite polite. There weren't many customers in the store (because there are few seats), but perhaps due to the amount of preparation he has to do, he still seemed quite busy.
<About the environment 🐾>
The store's space isn’t very large, and there are quite a few decorations, but the arrangements between the seats don’t make it feel overcrowded, so it feels okay.
The curry rice shop located at Ximen Station is a hidden treasure shop in my mind. I passed by it by chance before and thought it was a very attentive shop. The boss is very friendly and the curry rice is delicious.
It is said to be a small shop because there are only 7-8 seats in the store, all of which are counter seats. If you come to dine after 7 o'clock in the evening, the boss will do everything from making the meals to paying the bill. However, because there are not many seats, there will not be many seats at one time. There are too many customers so you don’t have to wait long
Today we both ordered chicken curry rice $260
and a croquette $60
Let me start with the conclusion: delicious! Will definitely visit again!
Although the price doesn’t seem very cheap, I think it’s worth it because you can refill curry sauce and rice for free once for internal use~
The chicken has a very obvious grilled aroma and is delicious. The curry sauce is also very rich and full of spices. It makes me think that I too
I like the "Tongan Curry" very much. It adds chopped green onions and onions to enhance the flavor.
The side dishes include roasted bell peppers, roasted zucchini and roasted potatoes. The vegetables placed on the curry are grilled. When the owner is grilling, the restaurant is full of aroma. The smell is quite appetizing. I plan to order it directly next time. Order a piece of grilled seasonal vegetables; there are also fried shrimp cakes that are rarely seen in curry rice. They are very special and delicious!
As for the croquette, one portion is just one piece. It tastes very solid and full of potato flavor, but I personally don’t think it’s particularly amazing. I want to order it or not.
The fried oysters I ordered last time were quite delicious. I recommend them~
p.s. When I came here last time, I paid at the street corner, but my phone just ran out of battery. The boss was kind enough to lend me a power bank, which was super touching!
Overall, it’s a delicious curry rice with a comfortable environment. I recommend it to everyone!
