This dumpling place is located in the food court of the restricted area C3 at Terminal 2 of Taoyuan International Airport, right next to the famous braised pork rice stall run by Xiao Wang. I initially wanted to try Xiao Wang's dish before my flight, but it seemed like the reviews on Fooday from other diners weren't great, so I decided to go for the delicious dumplings here.
The conclusion is that it was better than I expected!
Would I call it super delicious? Not really, but it’s definitely a standard dumpling noodle dish that meets expectations with good texture and flavor. If you’re at the airport and want something safe and reliable, I think this dumpling noodle place is a decent option.
They mainly sell dumpling noodle sets, but they also offer small steamed buns and beef noodle sets. The sets generally include a main dish, two side dishes, and a drink. Additionally, they market their pearl milk tea to foreign tourists.
As for the environment:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Since it’s a food court at the airport, the dining space is shared, and being a national gateway, cleanliness and hygiene are essential. You can order at the counter or find a spot and scan the unified QR code on the table to choose your restaurant, order, and pay. Then you just wait for your number to be called and go to the counter to collect your food, which I found quite convenient!
My order:
Fresh pork dumpling noodles + two side dishes + drink for $230
⭐️⭐️⭐️
The fresh pork dumplings are indeed big, with a total of 5 dumplings. The skin's thickness is just right, not too thick, and the minced pork filling is very substantial, so you don't get a sense of cheap ingredients. The broth is nice, a standard pork bone soup. The noodles are also tasty; they are traditional white noodles with the right level of softness. In addition to that, it comes with a few slices of bok choy and kelp, making it quite sincere overall.
The side dishes were diced tofu and edamame, which tasted decent.
The drink seems to be a fixed winter melon lemon, which is quite refreshing. Overall, the meal did not feel heavy, which is important before a flight, as you don’t want to feel too full or uncomfortable in your stomach during the flight. For me, this dumpling noodle dish is a great choice for a pre-flight meal!
