This was my first attempt at sauerkraut fish, and I was a bit unsure about what to choose. The suggestions given at the back of their menu were quite clear; whether you want it sour, spicy, or not spicy at all, you can find corresponding dishes. Besides fish, there are also options for beef and boiled meat. In addition to the types of meat, you can choose from different portion sizes: small, standard, or large, which I think is great, as it prevents waste and the prices are relatively affordable.

The restaurant operates on a self-service basis, where you find your own seat and order at the checkout area. Payments can be made in cash or via Line Pay. There is a number system for picking up your food, which is quite fast; I didn't have to wait long. After finishing your meal, you need to return your plates to the recycling area.

Personally, I usually like my food mildly spicy, and I was eager to try the classic sauerkraut fish flavor, so I ordered the spicy sauerkraut fish but asked the staff to reduce the spiciness a little bit. It turned out to be slightly spicier than I expected, but still acceptable. The flavors were quite bold, the fish fillets were tender, and there were plenty of side ingredients, such as cabbage, enoki mushrooms, tofu, and vermicelli... it really complemented the rice well. The portions were generous, and you can refill rice and drinks infinitely, which is perfect for those who want to eat their fill.

My friend ordered the “big eater princess” tomato fish, which is non-spicy. The flavor was lighter and not too sour, so it could be a good option for those who don’t like spicy food.

Overall, my first experience with sauerkraut fish was quite pleasant, and the restaurant environment was clean and comfortable.
