This restaurant is known for its variety of desserts, especially its mille-feuille and cream puffs, which have delicate fillings and distinctive flavors. However, the quality of the Japanese crispy cream puffs is somewhat inconsistent, and the matcha-flavored pastry can sometimes become damp.
The current desserts are really diverse. Today, I would like to introduce a shop that started as a small food cart and has now established its own storefront. They specialize in mille-feuille cakes, as well as puffs and other desserts, and occasionally launch seasonal limited items to keep things fresh for sweet lovers every time they visit, easily satisfying their taste buds...
✅ Shizuoka Matcha Puff: Made with Wakyu Koyamaen's Wakadate matcha powder, the filling is delicate and creamy, with a rich matcha aroma and a slight bitterness, perfectly balanced sweetness, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming to eat.
✅ English Earl Grey Puff: The aroma of the puff is very intense, with the filling being slightly sweeter than the matcha flavor, exuding a rich bergamot scent and a hint of bitterness. Overall, the taste is smooth and not heavy.

After tasting these puffs, my overall impression is somewhat disappointing. Although the fillings have distinct flavors, the quality of the signature Japanese crispy puffs is not consistent. I tried two flavors this time and noticed differences in the crispness of the pastry. The matcha-flavored pastry was even a bit damp, losing its intended aroma and crispness. The filling is indeed nice and has intricate flavors, but if you're thinking of trying it, you might want to consider carefully.
