The presentation of the dishes is beautiful, but the flavors are rather salty; some dishes are too salty and I hope the seasoning can be adjusted. However, the texture and appearance of the ingredients are commendable.
The restaurant's decor is retro, filled with a Showa Western atmosphere, and the orange-yellow lighting creates a warm feeling, making it very appealing for photography.
The service staff is quick in serving dishes and clearing tables, actively attentive to customer needs, and the service quality is good.
"Tokyo. Fireworks" recently opened in the East District, located on Civic Avenue, about a 10-minute walk from the Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT Station.
The main offerings are Japanese izakaya dishes and drinks, primarily skewers and other Japanese cuisine. The drinks include draft beer, sake, cocktails, and more. The decor of the place is very retro, with a strong Showa-style vibe, making it a great spot for taking photos as soon as you enter. I especially liked the area close to the entrance, where the warm, faint orange city lights mix with the colorful decorations reflected from outside, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
The staff is also very quick with serving dishes and clearing plates. Our table ordered a lot of items, but dirty plates and empty bowls don’t stay on the table for long. Basically, whenever food is served, the staff promptly helps us to clear up, and they also actively ask if we need more drinks or for the trash to be taken away. The service is excellent!
As for the meals, I feel that...
Every dish is extremely salty 🥵🥵🥵
It's the kind of super salty where I feel that just eating one skewer already puts my sodium intake for the day way over the limit.
The food does look delicious, and the presentation is beautiful, but every dish is just really salty. I strongly hope the restaurant can adjust the seasoning of their dishes! Otherwise, it's a bit scary, and I probably wouldn't want to try this place again until the saltiness is fixed...
Although the food is very salty, aside from that, the taste and presentation are still quite good. Below is an introduction to the various dishes we had this time, and I will use saltiness as a rating for each dish!
