The coffee has a rich and aromatic flavor, especially the corner coffee which is quite impressive. However, the pancake has a denser texture and is not as soft as expected.
The atmosphere inside the store is comfortable and warm, with decor in an old house style complemented by warm yellow lighting, making it feel spiritually fulfilling and quiet, perfect for working.
【Foodholic Niko @ Taipei】
"Corner Park Coffee" is one of my favorite cafes in Taipei, located on the second floor of a building with somewhat hidden stairs. If you pass by without paying special attention, you wouldn't realize that there's a café tucked away on the second floor.
The overall decoration follows an old house style, and you can tell that the tables and chairs have a vintage feel. Almost every chair is different, which I really love. It looks like a random mix, yet there’s a consistent vibe throughout. The café uses many beautiful hanging light bulbs with warm yellow light, combined with the sunlight streaming in through the windows, creating a very comfortable and cozy atmosphere.
There’s no time limit on weekdays and a two-hour limit on weekends. The environment inside is quite quiet, with everyone trying to keep their voices down. Many seats have power outlets, making it a great place to work or read on weekdays.
The minimum consumption for dine-in is one drink. If you order a refill or pair it with a dessert, you get a $20 discount.
Iced Corner Coffee ( $150 )
This is probably the signature drink of this café. It’s an iced drink, and when the staff brings it to you, it’s a cup filled with coffee ice cubes (small frozen blocks of coffee) plus a cup of iced fresh milk. Customers can add the fresh milk themselves to make it coffee milk. Watching the white milk gradually turn coffee-colored from light to dark is super soothing! You can adjust the strength of the coffee as you like; it’s rich and fragrant, just a delicious iced latte—I'm really fond of it!
Wild Ginger Flower Latte (Hot) ($170)
This was ordered by a friend. I only had a sip, but I couldn't really taste the flavor of wild ginger flower. If not mentioned, I would’ve thought it was just a regular hot latte. It's good but nothing particularly special.
Waffle ($160) (with drink discount, $20 off, bringing it to $140)
I couldn't resist ordering one because the entire cafe was filled with the aroma of baking waffles. However, I think it's something you can order or skip. I'm not highly recommending it, as the waffle is denser in texture, not the soft kind I prefer. I feel it smells better than it tastes, haha! You can dip it in honey, but for some reason, the waffle didn’t pair well with this honey. It would have been better with an extra piece of butter!
Overall, although I wasn’t fully satisfied with today’s dessert, the overall ambiance of "Corner Park Coffee" provides a bit of spiritual fulfillment. It makes you feel like you can calm down and not be so hectic, so I still highly recommend it!
