"The Wutao Chishang Rice Box - Taipei Dongyang Store" is located near the back station of Taipei Main Station. The seating area in the store is quite spacious, so if you don't want to take your meal home, you can also dine in directly at the store.

The staff are energetic, and the service for the meals is very quick and efficient, giving no feeling of job burnout; it’s quite convenient to pay with an EasyCard here.

Grilled sea bream rice box $105, crispy chicken thigh rice box $125. The side dishes include some green vegetables, cabbage, braised bamboo shoots, a piece of tofu, a small slice of sausage, and half a braised egg. The taste is average, not unfresh, but not surprising either.

The brand mission of "Wutao Chishang Rice Box" includes a commitment to rice food culture, so naturally, there are higher expectations for their rice. However, my experience today is that... it seems quite similar to rice from other bento shops? It doesn’t provide the same satisfaction as eating Japanese rice.

The main dishes are quite flavorful; a small piece of sea bream is placed directly on the side dishes, while the chicken thigh, being rather large, is packed separately in a paper bag.

The sea bream is tender and doesn’t have any strange fishy smell. Although the portion is smaller, it is still quite delicious—one I would consider repurchasing.

The skin of the chicken thigh is fried very crispy, and the meat retains its juiciness, so it doesn't taste dry. With the addition of some pepper salt, it's salty but very tasty—it makes your mouth water! Both main dishes are good, but if I had to choose, I prefer the crispy chicken thigh~
