The store specializes in fresh citrus juice, offering a variety of flavors to choose from, made with locally produced citrus. The juice is sweet and rich, but there is a lot of ice, which can dilute some flavors.
The shop's main visual and design are very cute, giving off a relaxed coastal town vibe, perfect for travel and relaxation.
📍Onomichi, Hiroshima, Japan
Specialty store for citrus juice from the Seto Inland Sea 🍹🍊
Onomichi is located around the Seto Inland Sea and is known for its abundant lemons and citrus fruits, with many dishes and desserts highlighting lemons and citrus 🍋🍋🟩.
It is also a cozy little coastal town, perfect for relaxing and traveling, with not many tourists around, giving it a very laid-back atmosphere.
This is a juice shop I researched beforehand, and the shop's visual design is very cute. In addition to selling citrus juice, they also offer various citrus-themed souvenirs.
🍊 Fresh Citrus Juice Shiranui (¥650):
This time, I ordered a large cup of one flavor juice, but there is also an option for three flavors at ¥800, served in small cups so you can taste three different flavors at once.
The citrus varieties offered each day vary, with a total of 24 types of citrus fruits available, and they provide a chart showing the sweetness, acidity, and bitterness of each type as a reference.
I ordered the Shiranui with a sweetness of 5, acidity of 3, and bitterness of 1. The juice's color is a vibrant orange, and upon taking a sip, it matched the chart's description perfectly—very rich, sweet, and not too bitter.
I found it a bit unfortunate that there was a lot of ice; I'm not used to drinks with so much ice, and it made the initial flavors feel concentrated and rich, but as I continued drinking, it became a bit diluted.
🍄
Would I revisit: Yes!
