Located near the Far Eastern Department Store on Xidatou Road in Hsinchu, the grilled meat tavern seems to have recently been renovated, although the first floor doesn’t feel much different, mainly in the private room areas.

The interior environment is bright, and the tables are relatively close together, but it’s still acceptable. There is a bar counter and tables to choose from, with about 30 seats on the first floor. It's advisable to make a reservation before coming, as the place is usually full when you pass by.

Throughout the meal, the staff will grill for you, so all you need to do is eat!

There are quite a few options on the menu, with some limited items available for ordering. The staff will also provide recommendations and will inquire whether you want the beef grill platter and tongs to be included. Additionally, they offer 3 to 4 types of salt for you to choose from.

The quality of the meat is consistently good (๑•̀ᄇ•́)و ✧, and the seasoning is just right, making it not overly heavy.

The grilled rice ball has cheese filling inside, adding an extra flavor to it.

The pork tendons refer to the pig's optic nerve. I had tried it elsewhere before and found the texture very unique, so I decided to order it from the limited menu. This place's version has a chewier texture. The staff mentioned that the owner had eaten at the same restaurant and found it very unique and delicious, which is why it was included on the menu. XD

The first drink is thickened for free, so when I had the second drink, it felt like the amount of alcohol was doubled. They aren’t worried about you drinking; they’re worried you won’t drink enough.

The fried milk has powdered sugar sprinkled on top. The exterior is crispy while the inside is smooth. The skin resembles that of sweet potato fries, and it is slightly sweeter.

Although the prices are a bit higher, the grilling service is all included, and the quality of the meals is up to standard, making it worth revisiting. 👍
