The food is overly salty, with the sauces for the chicken leg rice and the golden treasure rice only having a salty taste. The rice is mushy and not hot enough, and the vegetables are also very cold. Overall, the taste is not good.
The environment is average, the floor looks slightly unclean, and you can see a corner of the kitchen, giving off a snack shop vibe.
The boss has a warm attitude and will keep food warm for guests who have not yet arrived, but may not pay much attention to certain tables.
♢ Same Ocean Roast Meat ♢
Location: Located near National Chengchi University, about a three-minute walk.
Dining environment: Average, the floor feels a bit unclean, and the corner of the kitchen is visible from outside, which seems to suggest... a snack shop, haha.
Ordering method: Order at the counter.
Let’s get straight to the conclusion: it was horribly unappetizing. There's no chance I'd go back, even if they offered me a meal for free.
One star out of respect for food, and half a star for the owner's enthusiastic attitude, but the dishes are really inedible.^^
Chicken Leg Rice $100
Includes cabbage, kelp, dried tofu, half a braised egg, chicken leg, and rice.
The sauce on the chicken leg is tragically bad; it has no flavor except for saltiness. After mixing it with the meat, rice, and vegetables, everything just tasted overwhelmingly salty. The chicken leg itself might be okay? Not quite sure, because the only taste I could catch was the incredibly salty sauce.
The rice was a bit mushy and not very tasty. What I found hardest to accept was that all the dishes were very cold, which made me feel colder the more I ate. Eventually, I left more than half a plate untouched, and although I don't like to waste food, I really couldn't eat it 💔
Golden Trio Rice $100
Ordered by a friend, it contained sausage, chicken leg, and two other kinds of meat (I don't remember what they were). The sauce tasted the same as the chicken leg rice and was equally unappetizing.
(Balanced report)
At the table next to us, a few customers arrived later. When the owner served their food, he mentioned that he'd keep it warm for them, saying that rice has to be hot to be delicious (does that mean we don’t deserve to eat good food at our table? 🫴)
If you do decide to come here, you might want to consider ordering fried rice, as it should be freshly made. The owner has been hanging out in the kitchen without coming out to take orders, and if he’s not frying rice, I really don’t know what he’s doing, haha^^
