I often see them in chain cake shops in Taichung but have never tried them, so I decided to give them a try~
Personal opinion: Unless I really have no choice, I will not consider this hotel👋
I can’t say that the moon cakes are not delicious, but the fillings, portion size, price, ease of handling, etc. are all not ideal in my opinion. I didn’t feel full after eating any of them.
There are not many vegetables and not much meat in it. I don’t know if it’s a problem with the taste. I use ingredients that I don’t often eat to make the base.
(It’s something very similar to fish floss but very dry, with a little sesame and hard. I haven’t seen this ingredient for a long time🙇♂️I really don’t know what it is called, you can see the photo below)
It's probably cabbage, bean sprouts, a little fried food, an ingredient I don't know the name of, and a little braised pork for braised pork rice (more fat). In the end, there's no ingredients at all, it's all skin, and the skin is very Dry and hard...
The overall taste is "sweet", and then a little salty. At $65/roll, I personally don't think it's worth it. Maybe you can buy a more affordable option nearby for $65.
