The Nest of the Barred Owl is a chain Japanese pork cutlet restaurant that I have always felt has stable quality, especially their red curry pork cutlet, which is fragrant and spicy, and satisfying every time I eat it. However, this time when I visited their branch located in the Rende Teri House, I wanted to try something different, and ended up feeling a bit disappointed.

This time I ordered a baked dish, and to be honest, the taste was a bit ordinary. After baking, it lost the aromatic qualities that the red curry should have had, all covered up by the cheese. In fact, it wasn’t particularly delicious on its own, and the overall texture was a bit dry. I don’t know if it was because it was baked a bit longer, but the overall performance was not outstanding and didn't quite meet my expectations for "The Nest of the Barred Owl." However, the sweet potato balls I tried this time were a pleasant surprise. They had a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, with a light sweetness - very delicious! Although the price is slightly higher, the taste is worth trying.

In terms of service, this restaurant performed well. The waitstaff were friendly, and they were very polite during checkout, making the experience comfortable. The dining environment is similar to other branches – clean and bright, and the convenient location in Teri House makes it a good option for a quick meal.

Overall, this time’s baked dish slightly lowered my rating, but the other classic dishes in the restaurant are still worth recommending. If I come again, I will likely obediently order the red curry pork cutlet.
