When prices rise, this is the bento shop you need 🥹
I've been eating here for over 3 years, and during that time, prices have been going up, up, up. I recall that the bento shop raised prices once, but not all of them did; it was just that the overly cheap bentos increased by about $5. Therefore, as of now, I can still buy most bentos for $80, which is really a lifesaver at the end of the month.
The small shop is busy, but both the owner and the staff have great attitudes. There’s hardly ever a situation where they become unfriendly when things get busy, which makes me want to come back more often.
The owner is very punctual with business hours. They close the iron gate around 8 PM every night, so if you come too late, you won’t be able to eat!
If you dine in, soup and drinks (self-service) are free refills. However, I don’t like to dine in during the summer because it’s considered a semi-indoor space (it’s indoors, but the door is open). Even with the air conditioning and fan, it can still be hot. Additionally, I tend to choose my seat carefully because dining in is self-service (including throwing away trash), and I don’t want to eat right next to the large trash can, so I have to pick my spot.
For this reason, I mostly take out bentos, and most customers do the same.
After all, it is an ordinary bento shop. The taste is decent, but not remarkably surprising. However, the price and the service attitude of the shop make me willing to come back multiple times, so I give it 4 stars 🌟👍.
