The famous bar, Chihkan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hall's second branch in Tainan, is hidden in the alleys of Tainan. The interior decoration follows a retro style, but for me, the lighting was a bit too dim. On a weekday around 8:00 PM, there were available seats, but when I came before, it was crowded. I recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit.

The bartender is very friendly and can help recommend cocktails٩99(๑•̀ω•́ ๑)۶.

Mr. Hong Li-hsien’s cocktail, besides the common tea + fruit flavors, also includes salty plum soup, making the drink taste both salty and sweet. There's also a sour plum candy on the side. It might seem like it would taste similar to drinking soup (?), but it absolutely doesn't! The flavor is well-balanced.

The Dream of the Red Chamber cocktail finally breaks the stereotype that Tainan’s cocktails are either very large or very strong. This one's easy-going, with a light alcoholic taste and a hint of sweetness with a bubbly sensation. Finishing the whole glass leaves you just slightly tipsy (๑•̀ᄇ•́)و ✧. Drinking from this series allows you to pretend you can hold your liquor and have a few more cups XD. Highly recommended for people who are not good with alcohol!
