This is a time-honored Empanada in Chile~
Basically, anyone who has been to Chile will definitely have eaten this snack.
Many people even use it for breakfast as well as a meal!
For example, I would buy it and cut it in half, then boil an egg 🥚 and then add it with Chilean quality avocado ~ it would be super delicious for breakfast!
I said before that it’s stuffed with meat.
Actually, I prefer the cheese-wrapped version.
❤️This time-honored empanadas is highly recommended
Because there is a layer of very soft cheese in the middle of the cheese
It's not the kind that can pull strings. You can feel the chewy texture after biting it.
You can also smell the aroma of cheese
The cheese flavor lingers in your teeth and cheeks after you swallow it!
If you eat on site, they will heat it for you on the spot~
After baking, the cheese in the middle will be a little soft when it's hot.
With the outer layer of puff pastry, the whole thing is super fragrant and delicious!
If I were to take it away, it would be like the one in my photo
They will wrap it up for you~
Make it look like a small package for you to take home!
❤️Meat-filled empanadas
Their meat stuffing is also super delicious~
If you have seen the Argentinian restaurants I recommended before! This one's
Empanadas are all about the gravy flavor! The outer layer is not puff pastry, but rather hard, slightly like the texture of hard bread~
But because the gravy is so fragrant and abundant...it will seep into the crust slightly! Don’t let the crust be too dry ~ when paired together, the whole thing will be harmonious and delicious!
This shop is a shop that locals visit for breakfast, lunch and even afternoon tea. You can see many locals grabbing one and eating inside!
Not only empanadas, the store also sells pizza and other types of noodles! They are all handmade ~ If you are like me and will stay in Chile for a long time and have a kitchen ~ you might as well buy some different things to try!
