The newly opened hot pot restaurant “Xiang Ju Guo Wu” in the Beigao First-Level War Zone of Zuoying District is a must-visit. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, the air conditioning is really strong, which is perfect for enjoying hot pot. Eating here will definitely be a refreshing experience. The restaurant operates on an à la carte basis, and the self-service bar offers drinks and Thai mango ice cream. The collaboration with Dayuanzi for the true mango slush is fantastic — you’ll want to enjoy a few cups!
The ma la broth is aromatic and rich. For someone like me who doesn’t eat spicy food, I found it moderately spicy (the soup base can be customized). The vegetables soaked up the milky flavor, which was delightful, especially when paired with the fresh sliced Angus beef — it’s simply amazing! The beef is very tender and fresh.
The sauerkraut pot is also flavorful. If you love sour flavors, you’ll definitely enjoy it. Their vegetable platter with a quarter-cabbage is quite generous. Sauerkraut is best paired with pork belly and seafood. The pork belly is springy, and the seafood is very fresh, showcasing high-quality ingredients.
My favorite ice cream flavor is the Thai milk tea — it’s very authentic and delicious! This hot pot restaurant is worth revisiting; highly recommend!
