I went to a popular okonomiyaki restaurant in Higashi-Mikuni that many celebrities, including BUMP OF CHICKEN, have visited. 🔥
The restaurant is called "Naniwa no Okonomiyaki Jiro," and it's a short walk from Higashi-Mikuni Station on the Osaka Metro. 🚃
Former Prime Minister Abe, Hamachan, Roland, and Kosugi from Brahman are some of the notable visitors, but personally, knowing that BUMP OF CHICKEN had been there really excited me! 😍
On the table, there were plenty of flavor change options:
Sauce,
Pickled ginger 🫚,
Spicy sauce 🔥,
Ichimi 🔥,
Aonori (seaweed),
Katsuobushi (bonito flakes) 🐟.
For drinks, I chose
Oolong tea 🐦⬛ for 308 yen.
I ordered the seafood teppanyaki 🦐🦑🫑 for 1380 yen and the Jiro Special okonomiyaki✨ for 2430 yen.
The seafood teppanyaki consisted of simple grilled shrimp, squid, bell pepper, and bean sprouts. 🔥
The shrimp was sweet and juicy 🦐,
the squid was tender and chewy 🦑,
and the vegetables were crispy and delicious. ✨ It was tasty on its own, and adding a bit of mayonnaise for flavor change made it even better! 😍

included beef tendon 🐮,
pork 🐷,
squid 🦑,
shrimp 🦐,
tuna 🐟,
green onion,
konnyaku,
and two eggs 🥚, making it very filling with a lot of ingredients‼️
You can cook the okonomiyaki yourself, but I had them cook it for me. 🔥
As per what was written on the table, I seasoned it in the order of
sauce,
mayonnaise,
katsuobushi,
and aonori.
The fluffy batter with generous amounts of green onion was delicious! 🥰
With every cut, I could taste the various ingredients, and it was incredibly delicious.
The beef tendon was plump, rich, and melted in my mouth. 🐮
The pork was cut into easy-to-eat sizes and was tasty. 🐷
The squid was chewy and delicious. 🦑
The shrimp was sweet and delicious. 🦐
It was my first time having tuna in okonomiyaki, but it paired wonderfully and was delicious. 🐟
The konnyaku had a nice texture and was tasty. ✨
I did a slight flavor change with ichimi, but with so many ingredients and flavors, I could eat one entire piece without getting bored. 🥰
It was an incredibly delicious dish! 😋
I was hungry and had brought my Nicole-kun plushie with me, so I took a photo midway through. 😸
The menu had many interesting options, including the "Abenomix" okonomiyaki that former Prime Minister Abe also tried, making me want to visit again! 😆
I'm so glad I got to go to this delicious okonomiyaki restaurant! ✨
