Since I got FOODAY, I’ve had a bit more budget for meals every day. 👍
This time I came to the Far Eastern Food Plaza in Xizhi to eat at "The Nest of the Pigeon."
To cut to the chase, I will not be returning again. 😤
From the very beginning, there was a mistake with the orders, and they served the food to another table, making us wait a bit longer. It wasn't until a staff member noticed that our main dishes hadn’t arrived that they finally brought them out. The pork chop was fried so hard that it felt like sandpaper. I had to dip it in sauce to make it more bearable, but the sauce was mediocre. By the time we got to dessert, we were told to wait again while the adjacent tables had already finished their meals and we were still waiting. The overall experience was very poor!
It also seemed like the staff were not getting along well. During our meal, I could hear them arguing over the intercom.
Finally, the checkout process was quite frustrating. They swiped the payment method several times and the discount coupon I used didn’t apply, so I ended up paying the full price. After I pointed it out, they had to process a refund and re-run the payment. I’m not sure if it’s due to inadequate staff training...
In short, while I can’t speak for other branches, I won’t be returning to the Far Eastern Xizhi location, and I may reconsider visiting other branches as well 🤔. After stepping on a landmine once, it leaves a bit of a shadow ☹️.
