In the stylish cafe within the Xinyi business district A13, you can dine without time limits on weekdays. The seating comes with sockets, there are plenty of dessert options that are very affordable, and the hand-brewed coffee is excellent. It's a department store cafe where you can sit for a long time to use your computer or chat.

CURISTA COFFEE has various branches, and this time I visited the one located on the 4th floor of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A13 (next to the Apple store). You will see it as you come up the escalator; it's very conspicuous beside the food court.

The storefront presents a clean white and navy blue tone. Apart from the round table area, which is suitable for coffee and chatting, there are also two rows of seats against the wall, which have sockets underneath. The seats consist of comfortable sofa-backed chairs, perfect for computer work, ensuring you won't feel uncomfortable even after sitting all day.

As long as it’s not full, there’s no time limit for dining, but when it’s full, there is a 2-hour limit. Thankfully, during my visit, I wasn't rushed and spent the whole afternoon there, feeling very relaxed 😌.

This time, I enjoyed:

  • Ethiopia · Gaga Estate (Hot)
  • Chocolate Mille-feuille Cake
  • Large Brown Sugar Milk (Iced)

The hand-brewed coffee tasted great, with its flavors fully expressed. For Ethiopian, I recommend ordering it iced for a more pronounced flavor.

The desserts were cheaper than expected. Initially, I thought a cafe in a department store would be expensive, but most desserts are under 100 yuan (although I ordered the most expensive 180 yuan mille-feuille cake, haha).

I like this streamlined counter design; it's quite elegant and modern.
All the seats in this row come with power outlets, and they are sofa chairs against the wall, making them very comfortable to sit in. The lighting is also very bright, with ample indirect lighting, and the overall environment is fantastic.
Brown Sugar Milk (Large, Iced) $160 Their large drinks are only available in take-out cups. The brown sugar milk is delicious and not too sweet. I personally feel that the amount of brown sugar is just right, although my friend thinks it's a bit too mild, so it might depend on personal taste. Chocolate Mille Crepe Cake $180 Although this is considered the most expensive among all the desserts (other desserts are under $100!), this mille crepe cake is tastier than expected. The chocolate sauce is rich, with a bittersweet flavor rather than overwhelming sweetness, and doesn't leave an unpleasant aftertaste of low-quality cream. It's very nice.
Ethiopia · Geisha Estate (Hot) $195 Sun-dried | Orange Blossom | Citrus | Blueberry | Apricot The presentation has a very high-end feel, and it comes with a business card for the coffee single origin, which has text on the back introducing the flavors and the estate. I find it very thoughtful. When it's hot, the flavors are not as strong, and the taste is relatively simple. I was a bit disappointed initially, but after letting it cool and drinking it again, the flavors really came through! It's super amazing. The citrus flavor, the sweetness of apricot and blueberry, and the fragrance of orange blossom all appear when the coffee is cold. So maybe ordering it iced would taste even better.
The items in the dessert display on the counter look so delicious! And most of them are not expensive.
The display looks very appetizing!
At the entrance of the café, there are more round table areas where guests prefer to sit, chat, and have drinks.
The walls inside also display many of Kuishi Coffee's own products and coffee beans.
