This time I saw Chuanfang while I was in Shanhua, so I thought I would give it a try. This place is part of a Taiwanese chain of hand-shaken drinks, and the decor has a somewhat retro, literary style. The store's logo even features some old-fashioned window designs, making it clear that they put effort into building their brand image.

I ordered a classic Oolong milk tea, and the price is roughly on par with other chain stores—not particularly expensive, but also not cheap. The first sip was, well... just ordinary Oolong milk tea. The tea flavor isn't particularly strong, and the milk flavor isn't very rich either. Overall, it's just okay; there are no obvious flaws, but nothing particularly impressive either. I ordered it with reduced sugar, and I think the sweetness is adequately controlled—not overly sweet—but it would be better if the tea flavor was a bit more pronounced.
