This is a traditional handmade mochi shop that I really like. It seems that a few more places are selling it now, and the shop has also directly expanded its premises. Business is doing very well, and the atmosphere is great. The only downside is that parking is difficult.

You can call ahead to reserve, so you don't have to wait, but there are daily limits on reservations. If you're late, you'll have to queue on-site, but the turnover speed isn't slow, so you generally won't have to wait too long. I really love the traditional filled mochi or the plain mochi skin; the filling isn't too sweet and is very down-to-earth. The rice cakes with vegetables are also so good that I eat one after another, and the brown sugar cake now comes in packaging, which is even better.

Every time I come to Yilan, I make sure to buy it. Even if I'm only in Jiaoxi, I will still deliberately drive to Dongshan to buy it. Highly recommended and definitely worth it, it's just delicious.
