青禾藴

"Qing He Yun" (Zhongzheng District) is a restaurant improved from an old house, similar to "Qingtian 76" (Da'an District). It’s not far from the MRT station, and you enter a quiet alley in the city, making it an ideal location. Looking at the menu, it caters to various tastes (vegetarian, non-vegetarian, seafood). We had a group of eight, and there were private rooms available for booking. It was truly great.

Below are the selected dishes. I will only comment on the ones I tasted; the others are dishes ordered by others. First to try were the appetizers and soup, all quite good.
(1) Sauce-grilled boneless chicken thigh: The chicken thigh was well-seasoned, a bit like the Japanese "teriyaki chicken" I usually love.
(2) Grilled mackerel with warm soup on rice: The mackerel was grilled just right. What’s particularly special is the warm soup poured over the plain rice, reminiscent of Japanese chazuke.
(3) Seasonal vegetable and tofu dragon pot (ovo-lacto vegetarian).
(4) Salt-flame salmon fillet.
(5) Angus beef short rib rice ball: I didn't capture the short rib, only the grilled rice ball, so I omitted the photo. But this dish should definitely be worth ordering.

After the meal, we lightly tasted two desserts. They were visually appealing and tasted good.
(6) White snow strawberry crumble roll cake.
(7) Jam brownie cake.

It was a very pleasant and satisfying lunch gathering with classmates. Looking forward to dining here again.
