One of the old snack shops located in Ximen Town. Although the food isn’t exciting enough to warrant a special visit, there's a certain charm to it. Whenever I don't want to eat at a restaurant or have heavy meat, and when I'm strolling around nearby without feeling very hungry, I find myself thinking of this place.
The dining area is long and narrow, with seating for four rows. It's easy to bump into others when getting up to move around. Before being seated in line, they provide a menu to order from. The food is served quickly, cleaned up fast, and the table turnover rate is high.
◽ Braised Pork Rice + Fried Egg $50
> Mostly lean meat, without the sticky, gelatinous texture.
> The salty-sweet sauce is plentiful, making the rice moist.
> The fried egg is soft-cooked, perfect for mixing with the braised pork rice.
◽ Oyster Omelette $70
> The oysters are delicious but the portion is small, served with traditional oyster omelette sauce.
◽ Blanched Vegetables $45
> Enough for two people to share.
