🥢 I’ve eaten here several times and try different dishes each time, and this time I made a few new discoveries.
🍗 The plum sauce chicken ($320) continues to perform consistently. The chicken is tender, and the sauce is sweet and sour; I order it every time with no hesitation.
🧄 For the first time, I ordered the spicy century egg and tofu ($100), which is very good with rice! It's salty and fragrant with a bit of heat, perfect for pairing with white rice.
🍞 The deep-fried silver thread rolls (birthday gift) were fine on their own, but I think the outer skin could be crispier for more texture.
🍤 The shrimp omelet ($340) is not my favorite; the addition of something resembling imitation crab sticks somewhat affects the overall taste.
🥬 The Matsusaka pork with water lily ($290) was slightly overcooked this time, making it a bit dry and tough, which is unfortunate.
🍖 The golden fried chicken leg ($290) is actually made with bamboo shoots and turned out unexpectedly well, coated in salted egg yolk.
🥟 The golden ingot taro puffs ($360) were a bit different from what I expected; the larger pieces were relatively tasteless, while the smaller ones were decent.
This place plays it safe, leaning towards flavors that can be adjusted in spiciness. It's convenient for group dining but on the pricier side, making it just right for occasional cravings.😌
