"Why did I only buy one?" This is what I thought after eating. I didn't know much about pepper cakes in the past, but today I realized that it was because I hadn't tasted delicious ones before~

This "Fuzhou Shizu Pepper Cake" originated in Raohe Night Market and is now located near Taipei Main Station, only a 2-minute walk from Exit Z8.

While queuing up, I could smell the smoky smell coming from the kiln. Even though many customers gave up after hearing the boss said it would take another 10 minutes to come out of the oven, I was willing to eat the hot pepper cakes. wait!

The clerk stuffed the super-soft dough with meat fillings that ranged from fat to lean. The portions were quite generous. Then they added a large handful of chopped green onions and skillfully kneaded them into pepper cakes one after another. They had not yet entered the kiln. The pepper cakes from the oven were all white, and the clerk continued to spread a lot of white sesame seeds on each one. It looked very cute.

The pepper cakes are $60 each. The outermost layer is kiln-baked until they are very crispy. After you feel the crispiness, the chewiness of the crust comes next. It is not difficult to imagine that the store must have put a lot of effort into making this crust. , it tastes very refreshing!

The meat filling is not chopped too finely, and the texture of the meat is retained. The key point is that you can eat my favorite fatty meat, which is a plus~

The meat filling inside is seasoned with pepper and has a strong aroma of Chinese medicine. The sweetness of the meat and the salty aroma of pepper are perfectly blended. When you bite into the white sesame seeds, the overall taste adds another level. It’s delicious!

Overall, the price of $60 for a pepper cake seems to be on the high side, but the pepper cakes are large in size and filling. The most important thing is that they taste very good. If you are near Taipei Station, I recommend you buy them as snacks~

I bought pepper cookies! (I regret that I only bought one...)
