I visited a creative kushikatsu restaurant in Taisho! ✨

The restaurant is called "Sozai Washoku Kushikatsu Ichimasa," and it's just a short walk from Taisho Station. 🚃

It's located inside a building, with only a counter, creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere. ✨

When I arrived, vegetables and condiments were prepared for us. ✨

  • Snow salt
    The “Nuchimaasu” from Miyako Island in Okinawa, certified by Guinness for its high mineral content.
  • Soy milk mayo dip
    A blend of top-quality cottonseed oil with zero cholesterol, "soy milk," and "white miso."

  • Ponzu
  • Dashi soy sauce
    A specially blended original sauce that goes well with the kushikatsu at Ichimasa.
    I was delighted to see such detailed descriptions! ✨

For drinks, I chose the seasonal frozen fruit soda 🍓 for 600 yen.
When I visited, it was strawberry. 🍓
It was filled with plenty of strawberries, sweet and delicious! 🍓

Shrimp 🦐
I squeezed lemon and ate it with salt. 🍋🧂
The shrimp were fully edible with the shell! 🦐
The flesh was plump, fluffy, and sweet, and I could really taste the shrimp's head too! It was delicious, and the lemon gave it a refreshing taste. 🍋

Chicken tender cutlet 🐔
It was topped with broccoli dip. 🥦
I had wasabi with it. 🔥
The recommended sauce was excellent.

Squid fried in kadaifi 🦑
Dashi soy sauce was recommended.
The kadaifi was crunchy and flavorful.
The sauce that resembled grated daikon on top was refreshing, and the squid was tender and incredibly delicious! 🦑

Tuna wrapped in cabbage topped with Akita's iburi-gakko (smoked pickled daikon). 🐟
Ponzu was recommended.
The cabbage was crisp. 🥬
The tuna was substantial and tasty. 🐟
It was generously topped with aonori (seaweed powder), and the flavors were outstanding! ✨
The combination of iburi-gakko and cheese was also excellent and new to me—it was so delicious! 🥰

Sole fried in potato batter topped with kiwi jelly. 🐟🥔🥝
Ponzu was recommended.

This time, I had six skewers, but there is also a stopping system where you can continue eating until satisfied. 🫷

Kuroge Wagyu and foie gras Rossini sandwich. 🐮🦆🥪 1680 yen
The Kuroge Wagyu cutlet and foie gras were large and very filling! 🥰
The cutlet was crispy and juicy, pairing wonderfully with the sauce. 🐮
The foie gras was rich. 🦆
The bread was nicely toasted. 🍞
It was absolutely delicious! 🥰

I also tried various sauces with the vegetables, and the soy milk mayo dip was incredibly tasty! 😍

I had the impression that Taisho had many casual izakayas and Okinawan restaurants, so I was happy to discover such a stylish place! 😍
