This restaurant is located inside a very famous inn in Hallstatt. Some people come here to dine even if they are not staying in the inn. The restaurant's business is quite good, and if you plan to dine here, it's best to make a reservation in advance. This way, you can secure a nice table with a view of the lake, and you won't have to wait too long!
The waitstaff here are a bit different from those outside; their service attitude is exceptionally good. Everyone seems very busy, yet they all have smiles on their faces, and they immediately come to help us with any situation. Their relaxed service attitude doesn't feel unprofessional; instead, it makes us feel quite warm and welcoming!
Now onto the highlights of the day—our ordered dishes:
❤️ Pan-seared lamb chops
These lamb chops really astonished me. The lamb was even more tender than beef and very juicy. With every bite, I could taste the sweetness of the meat. Most importantly, there was absolutely no gamey taste; even my friend who originally didn't dare to eat lamb finished two large pieces. Their unique sauce added a slight tangy sweetness, enhancing the flavor of the lamb! It's a super delicious combination!
❤️ Pan-fried fish
I actually forgot what type of fish this was, but the texture was very good. It wasn’t dry despite being pan-fried; however, if you're not adept at removing fish bones, you should be cautious. The fish is full of bones, and if you don’t pick carefully, you’ll almost get a bone in every bite. Its flavor is relatively mild, so we added some pepper and salt as seasoning! Overall, it felt more like tasting the freshness of the fish rather than showcasing the chef's skill!
In summary, I found every dish to be very tasty. The desserts were slightly on the sweeter side, but still quite enjoyable. Plus, the service was outstanding. If I ever return to this small town, I would definitely want to dine here again! I hope others visiting the town for a vacation will give it a try as well!
