This restaurant is located in a beautiful little town in Austria. I searched for restaurants in the town and found that this one is the locals' favorite. They offer a reservation service, but for some reason, I could never get through on the phone, and they don’t provide online booking. So on my first day there, I went to the restaurant 🍴 to let them know I wanted to make a reservation. The staff were very nice and clearly stated that I could just come by the next day at noon, and they would remember me! I went according to plan, but I realized it was just because I arrived very early, so there were still seats available; they actually didn’t recognize me at all…

Also, the staff didn’t give us much of an introduction and just let us order freely, so in the end, we ordered on our own…
❤️ Two-color pasta 🍝
I chose this dish because I saw that it had fish as one of the ingredients, and since this town is surrounded by lakes, many people say you should eat fish here. However, when the pasta arrived, we were a bit disappointed because there was hardly any fish, and it was a bit dry. Plus, they clearly didn’t know how to cook pasta; it was overcooked, very soft, and somewhat mushy. The pasta itself didn't have much flavor, so in the end, we left more than half of the plate!

❤️ Austrian braised pork
This is a more European-style dish, and indeed there weren’t too many issues with it. The pork was very tender, and it paired well with the potatoes on the side. A full serving was quite filling. If I had to pick a downside, it might be that the flavor was a bit strong, but Western countries generally have bolder flavors, so those who usually eat a lot of salt 🧂 might be quite used to it!

I personally think this restaurant isn’t as amazing as the reviews online suggest, but if you want to try some local cuisine, it’s still not bad. It's best to go when they open to avoid the crowds of tourists or locals who arrive early to dine!
