The Teresa Latin American Spanish restaurant is located on Wufu 4th Road in Yancheng District, about a five-minute walk from the Yanchengpu MRT Station.
Originally, I wanted to go to the Hungry Caterpillar restaurant, but since the chef had gone to the harbor, the restaurant only had drinks available that day, so I had to give up.
Today, I enjoyed Cuban sauce braised beef tongue, Teresa’s signature ramen, creamy mushroom soup, roasted cauliflower, Blue Sky and pineapple colada, totaling 1310 NTD.
Cuban sauce braised beef tongue:
The beef tongue is of moderate thickness, braised to soft tenderness with good flavor, without a hint of fishiness.
The sauce is slightly spicy and sweet, deep red in color with a bit of gloss, perfectly paired with the restaurant's accompanying bread or a bowl of rice.
It comes with bread, creamy mushroom soup, Mexican salad with minced meat taco, drinks, and dessert.
The soup is served in a white double-headed lion soup bowl, and the pudding served after the meal is also delicious. The price of the set meal seems high, but it is actually quite reasonable.
Teresa’s signature ramen:
It seems to be handmade wide noodles in the Bolivian style, thick and chewy in texture.
Topped with diced Matsusaka pork drizzled with special sauce, it has a combination of salty and sweet flavors, with a hint of smokiness.
Though called "ramen," it doesn't have broth and leans toward a dry mix type.
Creamy mushroom soup:
This is a warm and delicate thick soup with diced mushrooms and chicken pieces, rich in milky aroma without being greasy.
I forgot that the meal comes with soup, so I ordered this bowl additionally, but the portion is considerably larger than the soup that comes with the set meal, still worth it.
Roasted cauliflower:
The cauliflower maintains its crunchiness, and the thick sauce has a sweeter taste, infused with strong Latin flair.
Blue Sky:
A non-alcoholic mixed drink, it has a dreamy color and a flavor base of soda with a hint of blue citrus, sweet but not overwhelming.
It’s great for taking photos for your phone album.
Pineapple colada:
This drink blends milky aroma with pineapple flavor, offering a light sense of tipsiness.
It has a strong coconut milk scent and is visually striking.
Overall, it is a unique restaurant specializing in Latin American and Spanish home-style cuisine.
This old establishment, filled with an exotic atmosphere, features decor rich in Latin style, with colorful fabrics hanging on the walls and customer-drawn graffiti and signatures seen overhead.
The owner comes from Bolivia in South America and has been in Taiwan with her Taiwanese husband for forty years, running the restaurant for over 20 years.
The second-generation owner is Suli, the dance director of the Chinachem Brothers cheerleading team, who can be spotted in the restaurant on non-game days.
I recommend it to everyone!
