📍 Shilin District, Taipei City (Tianmu Shopping District)
The popular 40-year-old bakery in the Tianmu area, [Chuan Tong Bakery] 🥖🍞
Chuan Tong is a bakery I grew up eating at, and there are three locations in the Tianmu area!
This time I'm writing about the Tianmu North Road branch, which is also the smallest store. Unlike the De Xing West Road store, which is closest to the MRT station and has been renovated, this one retains the most traditional Chuan Tong appearance.
I arrived earlier this time, so I was able to find items that are usually hard to get at the other two locations.
In addition to traditional bread, this store also sells recently popular dessert items that are trending online.
🧈 Cream Bread ($45):
This is the Klim bread, a classic traditional flavor, with a sweet cream filling that is light and not overly rich.
I hadn't been able to buy this bread before, so this time I got four of them 😆. My impression is that while this bread is indeed of very high quality and is one of the best cream breads I've ever had, it has been getting smaller and lighter over the past few years, and the price of 45 NT$ seems a bit steep.
✏️
A little reminder:
🔸 A free paper bag is provided with purchases over 300 NT$.
🔸 You can call to reserve bread.
