This road is full of rice noodle soup shops. I originally wanted to visit another rice noodle soup shop with good online reviews, but it happened to be closed that day, so I saw Chen Maogeng’s shop along the road and went in to try it out.

The conclusion is quite delicious! Even after returning to Taipei, when I think back to this rice noodle soup, I can still think of the taste and texture of the rice noodle soup I ate at the beginning.

The meals sold in the store are very simple. Apart from rice noodle soup, there is only fried tofu. Moreover, there is already fried tofu in the rice noodle soup, so there is no need to order additional fried tofu.

I recommend getting some side dishes to eat. Three plates only cost 100 yuan, and they are all available in the refrigerator. Among the side dishes, the most recommended are the bean bun strips. They are flat and cool. They taste very refreshing and go well with the rice noodle soup.

Rice noodle soup (large) $70

I ordered a large bowl of rice noodle soup. There are about 7-8 fish balls, and two pieces of fried tofu. The amount of chopped green onion and red onion is very good, which adds delicious flavor. The rice noodles themselves are a bit like rice noodles and taste smooth. The portion size is just right for me, 6 points full (almost 7 points full with the other side dishes)

Fried tofu (small) $30

The tofu itself is fermented very well and can soak up the soup. It is plump and moist when you bite it. The chopped green onion is also a bonus.

Overall, it is a snack bar worth visiting again. The environment is very clean, and the meals are cheap and delicious. Although the variety of meals is a bit lacking, it is also highly recommended to eat simple local snacks occasionally ~
