Afternoon Tea2 ppl¥600

This place is not far from the entrance to the ski resort, but it is quite a distance from the station. Therefore, this nearby dessert souvenir shop is quite simple and quaint, typical of a Japanese small store. It has simple decor without any fancy embellishments, and it mainly serves as an afternoon tea dessert option for local residents.

The cake rolls are sold by the slice, and there are whole rolls available in different sizes to choose from. There are quite a few flavors, such as chocolate, matcha, black tea, and original... I tried the matcha and original flavors, and they were both very good, with a distinctly Japanese taste and not too sweet. Additionally, the famous local souvenir, the stone-ground steamed bun, is small enough to eat in one bite. The brown sugar bun has a skin made of brown sugar with red bean filling, and it's quite tasty as well; it would pair well with tea. I would want to buy some as gifts if I were going back home directly.
