Cyclo, located at the Zhongxiao Branch in Taipei's Da'an District on Daan Road Lane, is closest to the Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station. From there, walk towards Exit 14 of the East District Underground Street at the Dinghao Plaza, take the escalator upstairs, and it takes about one minute to arrive.

Originally, Cyclo had the Ren'ai flagship store and the Xinyi A11 sub-brand, but both have ceased operations, leaving only the Zhongxiao store in business.

The interior decor of the Zhongxiao store is bright, with white tiles on the walls featuring the brand logo. The atmosphere is relaxed, with around 30 seats available.

After being seated, customers can view the physical menu and order at the table with the staff. Some items have member prices (you need to add the store as a friend on Line), and payment is made after dining. The invoice can be issued with a carrier and there is no service charge (the menu states 10%, but no charge was applied during today's meal).

The dishes differ from traditional Vietnamese pho; it is the American-style Vietnamese pho that is popular in the U.S., incorporating many different creative elements, with more meat options and a richer broth.

There are lemons and leaves (?) available for self-service by the window, and customers can also add water from the back cabinet.

Today, I visited during a weekday noon when there were not many customers. The dishes we ordered are as follows:
🔸 Spicy Numb Beef with Noodles $205
The description says it uses chili oil extracted from three types of Sichuan peppercorns, but it tasted only numbing without any spiciness. Mixed with fine egg noodles, it was quite tasty. The beef shank was generous, and the tendons were tender—highly recommended.
🔸 Stir-fried Sour Spicy Beef Noodles $350
The broth was rich, and the sour and spicy flavor was very appetizing, with a special lemongrass aroma. The beef was sliced thin, and there were also beef meatballs and some offal (?), with a slightly stronger flavor, and the price was on the higher side.
🔸 Peppery Green Chicken Nuggets $99
The peppery sauce was not overly intense, making it a very safe option.
🔸 Hot Beef Noodles $360
This was the most expensive item; once served, broth is added to cook the beef slices. The broth was not extremely hot, resulting in a somewhat medium-rare feel. Personally, I think it's just a gimmick 🤣, and the price is on the higher side.

You can come to experience the Vietnamese pho that has taken the U.S. by storm, and perhaps the modifications from different regions can give you a new experience.

Good麻牛肉拌粉 $215 (member price $205) Egg fine noodles
Spicy Stir-Fried Sour Beef Noodles $350 Authentic Thin Rice Noodles
Hot Beef Noodle Soup $360 Authentic Rice Noodles + Spicy Tiger Sauce $10
Satay Chicken Cute Powder $280 (Member Price $260)
Green Pepper Spicy Chicken Nuggets $129 (Member Price $99)

Absolutely loved the fruit and ice cream waffles and very good and rich tasting espresso! You’ll have to wait for up to 30 minutes for the waffles to be served (not sure why) but it’s worth the wait! Friendly and helpful staff, although service is a little bit on the slow side, it’s a happy and relaxed place to visit.

特越 PHỞ
Vietnamese
