🚩Geographical location🧭
Located next to the large-scale shopping mall in Dali District, Taichung, near the intersection of Daming Road and Guoguang Road
Popular local delicacies in Dali, sold in late-night snack bars
🪑About the overall atmosphere🎡
The store is a semi-open space. Fried noodles and rice noodles are placed directly at the door, as well as freshly fried stinky tofu. You can hear the sound and aroma of frying. There are outdoor seats and indoor seats on the sidewalk. There are air conditioners but because of the semi-open style, it is not very cool.
💰The part about price💰
I ordered stinky tofu for 60 yuan for five pieces, and a plate of fried noodles for 40 yuan.
🍴About the meal☕
The stinky tofu is served with cucumber shreds and kimchi. The outer skin tastes somewhere in the middle between crispy stinky tofu and not crispy. I think the texture is moderately soft and delicious. I have eaten crispy stinky tofu before, and it felt like I was eating the skin. I couldn’t feel the juiciness at all and it made my mouth feel a little scratched! This stinky tofu has the texture of squirting juice when you bite it. There are holes dug in the middle and stuffed in. The cucumber shreds and kimchi are perfect to bite into; the fried noodles are fried noodles topped with minced pork and bean sprouts. The minced pork is very tasty and is very delicious when mixed with the fried noodles. The noodles are slightly chewy and have clear strips. There is Taichung people's favorite Dongquan chili sauce, add some Dongquan! !
🤨Conclusion♥
I think this is the best stinky tofu I have ever tasted, and the fried noodles are also among my top picks. I will definitely visit again. However, northerners seem to have different tastes. I have recommended northerners eat it before and they didn’t like it very much. So it’s a matter of opinion.
