🔱 Renzhi Chu 🔱
A sweet shop opened on Minsheng South Road, specializing in almond tofu ice. The environment is good, but there seems to be no air conditioning. Fortunately, it was at night and it was not too hot. It might have been a problem during the day.
🤷 Almond tofu ice can be added with three kinds of ingredients, and you can add another one by checking in. Pinto beans (large red beans), small red beans, taro balls, glutinous rice balls. At first, I thought 80 a bowl was a bit expensive, but when it was served, it was quite a big bowl, which scared me a bit...
There is sesame juice on top of the almond tofu. The almond tofu has a rich flavor, which I quite like.
There are quite a lot of ingredients, and it tastes really filling.
The taro balls are still very chewy, and the two kinds of beans have quite a bean flavor, but it would be better if there were pineapples in the options!
🤷 Mung bean soup
The other bowl I ordered was mung bean soup, which was also a big bowl. The mung beans tasted very bean-y. But I personally prefer mung bean soup with a slightly burnt flavor, such as the mung bean soup in Tainan.
Overall, this restaurant is pretty good for a late-night snack, but it would be nice if two people can eat one bowl because the portion is really quite large.
