In the Pingtung area, when looking for traditional desserts, "Fuqian Pudding Tofu Flower" is often a favorite among locals. Although the decor is not Instagram-worthy, its affordability and friendly service have won many hearts. This time, I ordered the popular three-color pudding tofu flower, which delights both visually and in flavor.
The three-color pudding tofu flower presented three layers of colors: pure white tofu flower, golden pudding, and light brown cocoa color, drizzled with mildly sweet chocolate syrup, making the whole bowl exude a strong old-fashioned flavor. Taking the first bite, the tofu flower is smooth and has a texture that melts in your mouth; the pudding has a soft consistency, moderate sweetness, but the soy milk aroma is prominent; the cocoa pudding has a slight bitterness that contrasts with the syrup. The overall sweetness is perfectly balanced, not cloying, satisfying the nostalgia for traditional desserts.
Not only are the dishes well-received, but the service attitude of the shop also adds to the experience, making one feel as warm as returning home. This time, I also brought my small dog along, and the owner even proactively offered a few ice cubes for the dog to lick. That warmth and attentiveness made the overall impression more vivid and reflected the welcoming atmosphere of this place. If you prefer traditional offerings and want to enjoy a bowl of pudding tofu flower that is not too sweet and carries a sense of nostalgia, this is a great choice.
