♢ Mama Luo's Rice Noodle Soup ♢
Location: Near Dongmen MRT Station, about a four-minute walk.
Dining Environment: Average, the seating area is divided into several sections.
Ordering Method: Order from the aunt.
Walking into Dongmen Market, on one side is Mama Li's Rice Noodle Soup, and on the other side is Mama Luo's Rice Noodle Soup. The dishes offered at both places are quite similar, so be careful not to go to the wrong one! 🤣
Rice Noodle Soup $30
We only ordered two bowls of rice noodle soup for the three of us, so the aunt kindly gave us an extra bowl of clear broth to share, which was very thoughtful. The broth is the same as the rice noodle soup.
The pork bone broth has a unique flavor; the first sip felt a bit unusual, but the more I drank, the smoother it became.
The portion was generous, and by the end, my friends joked that the noodles were self-replicating because it seemed like there were more noodles the more we ate! 🤣 If you're trying the flavors, two people can share one bowl and order some blanched greens or offal to go with it!
Cold Cuts $120
There are various types of offal, both those you can name and those you can't, along with some slices of pork that aren’t offal. Personally, I prefer the ones with a chewy, crispy texture, but a large portion of the cold cuts we ordered was soft (though I don't know which part it was from, haha), so I didn’t enjoy it as much. Nevertheless, it was still quite delicious, and the combination of soy sauce, shredded ginger, and the offal was great.
