When you come to Matsumoto, you have to eat Shinshu beef! I found a place with pretty good reviews, and luckily there was a seat available, so we got in smoothly—it's quite delicious!
The premium rib and extra premium rib are very tasty; the extra premium has more marbling, but it’s not greasy at all—very tender to eat! The premium is more substantial, so you can choose based on your preference. A serving of beef belly costs around 790 to 1290 yen, depending on the quality of the cut, and overall, it’s not expensive at all!
This place is actually very famous for its hormone (offal), and they have a variety of internal organs to choose from. This time we only ordered the diaphragm (which is actually meat), and it was delicious with the dipping sauce!
Like other yakiniku restaurants, they also have various vegetable side dishes. However, this place only gave us a Japanese menu, so I’m not sure if they have an English or Chinese menu available.
If you’re in Matsumoto, you should give it a try!
