Dickson's Fooday Food Review #236 - Okinawa Edition
This time, I want to introduce the breakfast I had on the morning of the second day in Okinawa.

A group of us decided to try a traditional Okinawan breakfast nearby Kokusai Street.
I saw online that Okinawan traditional breakfasts often feature a style of mixed rice, so we decided to give it a try.
Since we were at Kokusai Street, there were plenty of tourists around.
This restaurant has branches in different locations, and this visit was to the branch on Kokusai Street.

The ordering method was very simple; all we had to do was use a self-service kiosk to place our orders.
The menu was displayed directly on the machine and supported multiple languages.

So, I believe there shouldn't be any major issue with ordering—mainly just choose what you want to eat.

As for the food,
I’m not sure if it was because of the flavors, but while the mixed rice was quite good, resulting in a smooth and delicious overall dish, I felt it might have been a bit too bland. 😂😂😂

Fortunately, the restaurant provided many condiments on the table, so you could add more if you found the taste too light.
However, it seems the dishes here are just meant to be this light. 😂😂

⭐️ Food section
The selection here is actually not that wide.
From the menu, you can see options like Okinawan noodles or mixed rice, etc.
There’s even Mexican rice on the menu.
Since we thought the traditional breakfast here was mixed rice, I decided to order one to try.

In terms of mixed rice, it felt like a thicker porridge texture,
and if you order a set meal, it comes with side dishes.
Overall, it was relatively light and quite suitable for a health-conscious breakfast. 😂😂😂

I felt the flavor was a bit lacking,
so I went ahead and added a lot of the nearby seasonings.
It seemed to better match our usual taste. 😂😂

⭐️ Atmosphere section
The restaurant is on the second floor.
The interior space is quite large.
Since we went for lunch around noon, there were not many people inside.
The interior has a traditional Japanese wooden style,
providing a nice dining experience.

⭐️ Service section
I didn’t notice any particularly special service on that day.
Perhaps it’s because the ordering process was entirely handled by the kiosk.
The kiosk included multiple languages,
so there were no barriers when ordering.

⭐️ Price section
I feel the price of a set meal or dish is quite economical.
The portions are not too small,
and I think it's a decent amount for an adult male.

⭐️ Overall
It’s really suitable if you are visiting with family,
to stroll around Kokusai Street,
and then want a light meal or a place to rest.
It’s a nice spot to sit down for a bit.

Of course, there are many other delicious foods in Okinawa,
and there are quite a few breakfast options.
If you like this kind of light porridge or traditional Okinawan mixed rice,
you can come here and give it a try!
